Fremont, Calif., 20 February 2025 — Socket Mobile, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCKT), a leading provider of data capture solutions, is pleased to announce the expansion of its DuraScan product family to offer new options and scanning capabilities tailored to the logistics and manufacturing sectors. The DuraScan product family is known for its rugged durability, advanced data capture functionalities, and versatile applications across multiple industries. Socket Mobile is expanding the series with the new DuraScan D762, a high-performance 1D/2D barcode scanner designed to meet the specific requirements of warehousing, logistics, and manufacturing environments.

Offering a read range of up to 14 feet, the D762 enables workers to scan pallets, inventory, and packages accurately from a comfortable distance, making it particularly valuable in fast-paced warehouse operations. The D762 also supports building inspectors and other commercial services professionals who need to scan overhead items and signage, improving safety and efficiency by eliminating the need for ladders or lifts. Compatible with all mobile applications that support Socket Mobile devices, the D762 is the ideal solution for warehouse operators, logistics providers, and field service professionals using iOS, Android, and other mobile platforms to manage their operations.

"At Socket Mobile, we are committed to empowering our logistics and manufacturing partners with the tools they need to operate at peak performance," said Dave Holmes, Chief Business Officer at Socket Mobile. "The DuraScan D762 is the first in a series of specialised data capture solutions designed to meet the unique challenges these industries face. With the launch of the D762, we are equipping our logistics partners with a high-performance scanner that delivers extended range, fast 1D and 2D scanning, and seamless compatibility with iOS and other platforms. This launch marks just the beginning as we continue developing additional solutions to support the evolving demands of logistics and manufacturing operations."

The D762 is fully compatible with all existing applications that use Socket Mobile’s CaptureSDK and can be evaluated without any additional work. Application developers who do not yet support Socket Mobile’s expansive range of data capture devices can do so with CaptureSDK. CaptureSDK gives app providers reliable and consistent data capture performance, enabling their apps to capture data efficiently in the physical world. By integrating CaptureSDK, app providers can maximise the value of their solution and increase their customer’s overall productivity and satisfaction. CaptureSDK-enabled apps allow end-users to interchange any of Socket Mobile’s data capture devices, giving them the freedom to choose the best reader for their needs at any given time.

The DuraScan D762 is available now on the Socket Mobile website and will be available through distribution partners in March, with an MSRP of $699.
